Moving Along
I view my life as whole, complete, difficult to separate into compartments. Always i have kept one blog that was just about my life, whatever it might be at any given time. It’s a complex route maybe, to incorporate motherhood, marriage, spiritual, education, creativity into one place. I never could come to a place of posting much about my art though; never posted anything I was doing.
As I prepare to pursue my dream of going to college and becoming an art therapist, I want to be more intentional with sharing my art, my creative writing, not just the random musings of my mind.
So, I have decided to use this url as my art blog. I am moving the personal part of my life to A Life Profound. If you have bookmarked this site to keep up with my thoughts, then you may want to change that to my new blog. I’d love to have anyone and everyone still visit me here to encourage this new path on my journey.
Though I have moved all my former posts from this blog, as well as the posts from my first blog, Graceful Journey, no posts will be deleted from here. All links to individual posts will continue to work.
I am excited to get busy creating and sharing what I am doing.

I am excited for you… You are an awesome person! Your art is exciting and inspiring. I cannot wait to see your beauty spread out on this blog canvas!!
PS: happy birthday!!!!
How cool to be an art therapist – and a privilege. I am doing some art therapy at the moment and am SO glad I did. What a learning curve it’s been – scary at times – in trying to break my fiction writing block (I think I’m just about there). Two weeks ago, I discovered a new drug – clay
I just realized I lost you in the move. I was talking with Sue today and I’m thinking “I haven’t read anything from Cynthia recently”…so I came here to investigate…
I do think art therapy seems to suit you. Wishing you the best in that. Sue always has the most interesting posts from her therapy sessions
When are you starting school?
Hi Erin,
Yeah, things are changing and hopefully, soon, I will have my ducks in a row. I hope to be enrolled sometime in the next 24 months. Sounds better than saying sometime in the next 2 years.
Hi Cynthia,
Just letting you know you won this round of Apples 2 Apples. Congratulations!
Susan
Hi. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving that nice comment
I was going to go in that direction – art therapy, but didn’t (although sometimes, I feel I’m doing it anyway)… as far as the Mandalas, yikes! so much info… I may write about it on my blog, but in the meantime.. I give the kids a little bit of background about mandalas as sacred circles used for healing in different cultures (Tibet: using sand) and then give them something round. I like to show some examples, but take them away and let them just express themselves… no right or wrong way to do it… and just see what comes up.
Doreen… best wishes to you on this path!
I like your blog….and when I saw that if you wish to be an art therapist….I remember these words:
“If the dream is pure enough, and the dreamer is not selfish, the dream will come true”
actually, I also dream to be an art therapist before…now moving on and keep drawing and writing, inspiring and view into myself…I don’t know if I have enough money to study abroad like UK, US or even NZ or AUS , anyway, it must has a way if the dream is pure enough, right…:)
too many can share if we talk about art therapy…:)
